Clearfield is in north Davis County, with Hill Air Force Base along its east side. The Freeport Center, a big industrial park, sits where the old Naval Supply Depot used to be.

Sunset is to the north, Clinton to the northwest, Syracuse and West Point to the west, and Layton to the south and east.
