Utah County, Utah
Utah County sits around Utah Valley, with the Wasatch Range rising steeply on the east and Utah Lake filling a big part of the valley floor. Provo is the county seat and the largest city.
The highest point is Mount Nebo at 11,928 feet, at the south end of the county.

Utah Lake
A large, shallow freshwater lake. Utah Lake State Park in Provo has fishing, boating, paddleboarding, a marina and RV camping.
Mount Timpanogos
Timp is the second-highest mountain in the Wasatch Range at 11,752 feet.
Timpanogos Cave National Monument
Cave tours up a paved trail in American Fork Canyon near Highland, run by the National Park Service.
Provo Canyon
The canyon runs from Orem to Heber City. Bridal Veil Falls, a 607-foot double waterfall, is near the south end.
Sundance Resort
A ski resort on the slopes of Mount Timpanogos, about 13 miles northeast of Provo.
Thanksgiving Point
Gardens, farm and museums in Lehi.
Colleges
Brigham Young University is in Provo and Utah Valley University is in Orem.
Getting around
Main roads and transit in and out of the county.
I-15 runs the length of the valley and over the Point of the Mountain into Salt Lake County.
FrontRunner's southern stop is Provo Central station.
US-189 goes up Provo Canyon toward the Heber Valley.
